Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as the Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As a correspondent she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence in space travel. Kristin is the mother of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, and covered the Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Over the course of her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, the impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the pandemic coronavirus, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan for a restricted trip. Kristin worked her way through the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to becoming a part of the network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for corporate customers like Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their 3-year-old daughter.
