Mount Carmel College Bangalore granted her a Bachelor of Arts. Anushka Sharma has a master of Arts in Economics. Anushka was hoping to be an actor or journalist rather than an actor. Anushka relocated to Mumbai following her graduation and began her studies at Elite Model Management, and was coached by the style consultant Prasad Bidapa. Anushka started modeling in 2017 for Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show. She was also selected to represent the collection Spring Summer 2007 by Rodricks. Anushka Sharma was the lead in the movie 'Badmash Company that was released in 2010. It also featured Shahid Kapoor and Vir Das. The film was met with mixed receptions. Anushka appeared alongside Ranveer in the movie 'Band Baaja Baaraat' in which she portrayed a Punjabi middle class woman who set up her own company. The film received excellent reviews and was widely regarded as an overnight and a huge success. The contract of Anushka's for three films under Yash Raj Films was completed with the Band Baaja Baraat.
